The AP World course is taught over a period of two years. The ninth-grade world history course provides student with a solid understanding of the Key Concepts in Periods 1, 2, 3 and part of 4, as well as the five AP World History course themes. The ninth-grade curriculum focuses on document analysis, essay writing skills, as well as working in small groups and completing graphic organizers, which help students develop note-taking skills.
This year ,we will focus on the material in Periods (part of) 4, 5, and 6 as well as the five AP World History course themes. The tenth-grade curriculum focuses on working as one large group, working on all of the historical thinking skills in greater depth with a focal point on document analysis, as well as essay writing.
